#MaverickMonday Hedgehugs: Horace and Hattiepillar by Lucy Tapper and Steve Wilson

Yes, you read right! #MaverickMondays are back!

Today’s review is Hedgehugs by Lucy Tapper and Steve Wilson. The lovely folks at Maverick Arts Publishing must have read our minds because this is one of the books we were going to buy for Beebop’s birthday. Due to everyone falling ill, we didn’t make it to the shops to buy a copy so we were very grateful when we received our parcel from Maverick!

Oh No, George! By Chris Haughton

Hello!

Tonight’s review is, quite simply, hilarious. It’s transferable between children and children who have fur! We identify a lot with this book, we have Beebop (without fur, obviously) and ten furry babies of different species! This book is a Guardian Books favourite and was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway medal in 2013, alongside many other international awards.

It Must Have Been You by Zanib Mian

Hello everyone!

Our review tonight comes courtesy of Sweet Apple Publishers. We’ve had our eye on this book for a while and we were very excited to get it through the post! Sweet Apple Publishers have also had a previous book, My Dad’s Beard, listed in The Guardian’s best children’s books of 2014 so we had high hopes! On their website, you see the sentence “If you are a bookworm, it makes sense to crawl into a Sweet Apple book” and it’s oh so true!

It’s definitely a hidden gem. We also got to email John a few questions to ask him about his new book and plans for the future.

Bedtime Books Special: How To Catch A Star and I Took The Moon For A Walk

Hi everyone!

Hope you are all well. Today’s post is a bedtime books special, in honour of Beebop’s terrible sleeping habits (teething and colds don’t mix!) the past few days! One book we got from the library and the other we have as a Barefoot Books ambassador. They’re both beautiful and perfect for babies and toddlers alike.

#MeaghanFisherFriday Lars The Monkey flies a WACO Airplane

Hello everyone!

We have a late post tonight because Beebop is having one of those weeks were everything (and we mean everything!) is more interesting than going to sleep. It’s amazing how much energy they have when their mummies and daddies are ready for bed! Here is a #MeaghanFisherFriday for you, perfect for little ones who are fans of aeroplanes and/or monkeys! We had to do some googling for this review!
