When Beebop met Miffy . . .

Today was a very special day! It began rather earlier than mummy Beebop was hoping for (it was still dark outside!) but Beebop was just so excited! Today was the day that Miffy was coming into Chester Lane library in St Helens (follow their Twitter!)

Everyone loves Miffy! Her first book, written by Dick Bruna, was published in 1955 and has sold over 85 million copies! Miffy is making appearances at libraries throughout St Helens for some half term fun. We started off by doing some rhymes, then listened to a story about Miffy’s holiday. Miffy surprised us all at the end of the book when she appeared behind us! It was lovely seeing lots of people in the library again. The photographs have been sent by the lovely Karen at St Helens libraries!

We think Beebop and Miffy look like best friends! Thank you St Helens libraries and Miffy for very lovely afternoon. We hope Miffy enjoys the rest of her trip round your libraries!

Miffy has her own Twitter account too – give her a follow here!
